RAINER NATIONAL PARK
Mount Rainier National Park was established on March 2, 1899, and encompasses some 235,625 acres, ranging in elevation from just 1,610' to a lofty 14,410' above sea level. The "mountain" is actually an active volcano encased in over 35 square miles of snow and ice. Below the snow capped mountain is surrounded by old growth forest and a stunning array wildflower meadows and meandering streams. Explore this jewel of the Pacific Northwest from the top of its snowy peak to bottom of its beautiful valleys.
