Badlands National Park consists of sharply eroded buttes, pinnacles and spires blended with the nation’s largest protected mixed grass prairie. It is desolation at its finest, here you can look over 244,000 acres and for  miles and see no sign of human civilization. But that’s not all the region has to offer; there are great monuments to men that built this country and one that tried to save it for his people.
